Important Information for VLA Families:Return to School Summary:The Ken-Ton School District is bringing students back to school and moving forward with COVID-19 testing now that the state has released the new guidance for schools and relaxed the testing requirements in Orange and Red Zones. To summarize:
- Gr. K-4 students will return to school this Monday, December 14, following the hybrid schedule, and Gr. 2-4 fully virtual (VLA) students will transition to new teachers for Math and ELA instruction. Please note that Gr. 5-12 Special Classes will return with this group.
- Gr. 5-12 students (including Gr. 5-12 Special Classes) will return to school on Monday, January 4, following the hybrid schedule.
- Friday, December 18, which was originally scheduled as a half-day, will be a full day of instruction

COVID-19 Testing Information:Testing will begin for elementary school students and elementary school staff the week of Monday, December 14. For elementary school students, testing will take place on Wednesdays, and parents/guardians will accompany their children. For middle/high school students, testing will take place in school and will begin the week of January 4.

What You Need to Know (Gr. 5-12 Families):
Gr. 5-12 Group A, Group B and In-Person/Special Class students will return to school on Monday, January 4. Fully virtual VLA students will continue with fully remote learning. for the Wednesday, December 30 edition of the , which focuses on the Gr. 5-12 return and testing.

The district must have your consent on file to test your child. If you haven't done so already, please complete the electronic consent form. If you have already completed it and wish to change your selection, simply submit a new form for the child (only your most recent form will be referenced). You can access the consent form here:
